Yard Sale~ Craft Show

Dear Members,

We are trying to raise money for the Chamber this year by having a yard sale. We are asking all members to please donate something for the yard sale. It would be appreciated if you could have it priced beforehand.

Some items to look for might be bric-a-brac, clothing, furniture, sporting equipment, books, dishes, lamps, etc.

This hopefully will be fundraiser that will make money and only cost the minimal amount in advertising By being located downtown we should be able to bring in a larger crowd than what we had last year during the Farmers Market/Craft Show. Also by offering a yard sale, that will usually bring in lots more traffic.

Also, we are scheduling this event to happen during the Grand American so our out of town guests as well as out own community will have something to attend and will also be able to visit the museum while there.

Please contact the Chamber office if you have something you wish to donate for the yard sale. 618-317-7222. Call anytime, the phone will be answered or just leave a voice mail with your information and a return call will be made. Please arrange to drop off items at the Chamber office by July 31. Some pick-ups can be done for larger items.

I also am looking for a volunteer to help in the museum that day. I need someone knowledgeable about the Sparta area to answer questions. If anyone would be willing to do this for a few hours, please let me know.
